I grew up along the rugged coastlines and forests of Washington state — mist in the trees, waves crashing below. That's where my love for photography began, and where I learned to sit still and really look at the animals around me.

The name is part heritage, part love letter: I'm Italian, and salmone is our word for salmon — a fish I've always been a little obsessed with. Something about its strength and quiet resilience, and the coastal waters I grew up beside, felt like the right thing to build a name around.

These days I'm happiest behind the lens with horses and the farms that keep them, and just about any creature that'll hold still long enough (and plenty that won't). I love the people behind the animals too — the farms, barns, stables, and small outdoor businesses pouring their hearts into good work.
